Miami Beach, FL – July 19, 2014 - No Lifeguard on Duty at Soho Beach House was a good wet mix of music meeting fashion for designers Jacques Smith, Bianca Coletti and Nue Studio where models, patrons and indie electro band HeartsRevolution got to #seizethenight with Desperados. DJ Emm of Ess and Emm opened the Bianca Coletti show with a soft melodic tune to compliment her 2015 collection inspired by a sailing trip through the Caribbean designs only to be interrupted by a blast of Kryogenifex and a surprise live performance by Hearts Revolution who set the tone for the colorful swim wear designs Coletti is known for. New and chic shoe brand, Alepel by Adriana shoes were a perfect match for the designer’s collection.

Following the finale, Ess continued with a mix of disco for designer Jacques Smith’s reconstructed custom one-of-a-kind embroidered suits who’s inspiration was part space meets nautical for his army of co-ed models including dance songstress Anabel Englund. The show’s finale ended with models and a few crashers from the audience jumping in the pool to cool things off even more.  The event continued with an after party in the Tiki Bar headlined by Pirate Stereo where guests got to enjoy complimentary Desperados beer throughout the night.

Maritima as the winner. CM Cia. Maritima received the grand prize of a complimentary show venue at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim next July 2015, as well as a complimentary fabric with LYCRA® XTRA LIFE fiber to use for the creation of their next line.

As we entered the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tent at the Raleigh Hotel we were immediately greeted by designer Mara Hoffman herself with her stunning models in tow, prepping for their runway debut later in the evening. As time rolled by an anxious crowd, including actress Serinda Swan and model Tori Praver, poured in to catch a glimpse of the vivacious India inspired collection filled with extensive patterns and vibrant colors. Following the awe-inspiring show we then jetted over to the first ever debut runway show for Mikoh. Bal Harbour, FL – July 24, 2014 – What’s better than a day of total pampering at one of Miami’s hottest spots? On Thursday afternoon, Bal Harbour Shops hosted Editor Claudia Ribera from Lifestyle Brazil Magazine and four Brazilian socialites for a special shopping experience as part of their ‘Lifestyle Lovers’ events, which will launch in the new issue of the magazine. The day kicked off with a personal sushi making class with Chef Makoto followed by a delectable lunch at the restaurant. After appeasing their hunger, attendees were given the ultimate treatment at Gee Beauty were they received touch ups on their makeup. Next, the group hit up The Webster Bal Harbour for some much needed shopping and then over to Jimmy Choo to learn about the new Made-To-Order customization service. The women were also one of the first groups to get a sneak peak at the new two-story townhouse boutique that opened at Bal Harbour Shops on Friday, July 25. The lavish day finally concluded with a private Fall preview fashion show presentation equipped with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for Lifestyle Brazil Magazine and 20 of their guests who all couldn’t get enough of the stunning looks. Miami Beach, FL – July 26, 2014 – It’s all about having the right vibes and Metta sure knows a thing or two about it. On Saturday, Metta held its new signature Summer Vibes event, paying homage to the local artists and eco-fashion designers who flower their two Miami store locations. Taking place at Metta’s new South Beach location, the event featured chic eco-fashions by Lisu Vega, Feat and Pure of Heart. Fashion bloggers and other locals came to learn about Metta’s eco-friendly lines and unique products. The morning was filled with endless laughs, cocktails sponsored by Ron Diplomatico, and delightful conversation as locals chummed it up with conscious fashion designers and eco-friendly fashion bloggers. What makes Metta so unique is the concept of conscious shopping. Customers know when they buy something from the many brands available at Metta they are giving back to the world in one way or another, almost all brands give back to at least one charity or cause of some sort.

Bal Harbour, FL – August 20, 2014 – South Florida’s top fashionistas came out to Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour on Wednesday afternoon for The Trend Event, the first official fall event of the season, along with the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami, which was also celebrating it’s 18th year. After being welcomed by a “Let’s Talk Fall” fashion presentation, guests then enjoyed a stellar runway show highlighting must-haves trends for both men and women, including the definitive neutral for the season – gray; beautiful pops of jewel tones in greens and blues; and the eclectic statement of global chic – a multicultural melding of textures and prints. Attendees quenched their thirst with savory drinks by VeeV Vodka and Stella Artois, bites by Piola and the NM Zodiac Restaurant, and rich flavored cappuccinos and sweets as they sat along the catwalk. AmorePacific skin care was also on-hand pampering guests to mini skin care consultations, as well as mini makeovers by Tom Ford beauty.

Coral Gables, FL – September 10, 2014 – Over 500 of Miami’s trend-setters made their way to Neiman Marcus at Village of Merrick Park Coral Gables on Wednesday evening to celebrate the biggest fashion event of the fall season, the 20th Anniversary of the Neiman Marcus ART OF FASHION. Joined by Ocean Drive magazine, the fashion forward evening included a stunning runway presentation, an AOF Photo Booth and red carpet, as well as fabulous flash tattoos. By far the highlight of the evening was the Fall 2014 Collection runway fashion show. Hosted by Local 10 News Anchor, Laurie Jennings, models graced the catwalk in the must-have trends of the season: Global Chic, Grey Matters, Greens and Blues, The Trouser, and Knit Dressing. Throughout the night guests were able to satisfy their hunger with delicious tastings from top local restaurants including Bread + Butter, Love is Blind, Red Koi Thai and Sushi Lounge and Swine Southern Table + Bar.  Guests were treated to organic wines by Frey Vineyards and artisanal cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka, which featured their new creation – Grey Goose VX, an exclusive edition of masterfully crafted Grey Goose vodka with a hint of precious Cognac. Neiman Marcus is committed to supporting the arts in the community and they partnered with three arts-related charities for the event: Beaux Arts for the Lowe Art Museum, The Venus Orbit Initiative supporting the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, and the National YoungArts Foundation. For a third consecutive year, the group of South Florida philanthropists along with co-chairs Jillian Posner and Stacy Chimento, hosted the Haute Tea luncheon benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI). This year’s elegant soiree taking place at St. Regis Bal Harbour honored Linda Gibb – who serves alongside her husband, Barry Gibb, as International Chairman of Love and Hope and has supported the DRI’s work for more than three decades. Public Relations, emceed a show-stopping fashion presentation highlighting key trends and looks straight out of the pages of THE ART OF FASHION campaign. What began in 1994 as a 24 page magazine insert that featured fashion looks from 30 different designers, 20 years later moves forward with its captivating campaign of bold and sophisticated fashions that continues to showcase Neiman Marcus as imaginative, distinctive and memorable.
